BSC and Futbolfit Indoor Partnership
BSC's Official Indoor Training Facility!
The Burlington Soccer Club announces that it has entered into a partnership with Futbolfit to allow BSC teams the exclusive rights to train at the NEW and ONLY indoor soccer facility in Alamance County. The Futbolfit Indoor Soccer Facility will consist of two specialized turf fields, meeting rooms and party rooms. Now when it rains outside and the fields are closed - BSC teams will be able to move indoors and train at the Futbolfit facility.
Also, Futbolfit will offer training programs and indoor leagues for ages 2 through adult. Any BSC players looking for extra, specialized training should contact Futbolfit and take advantage of this great opportunity in Burlington.
For the Summer of 2009, a Player Academy is being offered, along with a Striker Camp, Defender Camp, Goalkeeper Academy and Goalkeeper Camp. Also, don't miss out on the 3v3 and 5v5 tournaments being hosted at the new facility this Summer.
This new facility will provide great opportunities for not only BSC teams and players, but soccer as a whole for both youth and adults in the Burlington and surrounding areas! Come on out and support this great facility!   [Read more...]U11 Boys Win Greensboro Tournament
U11 Boys - Wrangler / McDonalds Tournament Champs
The U11 BSC Cardinal boys team won the U11 top division of the Wrangler Jeans McDonalds Soccer Tournament hosted by Greensboro Youth Soccer. The boys won 3 games while losing just once, with 12 goals scored and only 6 goals against during the 4 games played. The Cardinal defeated the GYS Green team 3-2 in the finals, avenging an earlier 0-1 loss in the preliminary round of the tournament.
The team consisted of Ian Connor, Dylan Dixon, Austin Hill, Taariq Songster, Kyle Grauer, Caleb Graham, Nick Jeffers, Mark Ling, Ben Rankin, Noah Thompson, Chris Golden and Mark Law. The team is coached by Shaun Abernathy.   [Read more...]U10 Academy Girls win Seaside Classic
U10 Academy Girls
BSC U10 Girls Academy competed in the Seaside Soccer Tournament in Wilmington over the weekend. The girls went undefeated and won the final game on Sunday 3-0 over the CASL Courage. The U10 girls academy is directed by Chris Neal. The girls were coached by Tara Raggett, who will be assisting with the U11 girls next season.
The team consisted of Kenzie Burns, Marisa Camuto, Julia DeAngelo, Cheyenne Floyd, Maddi Harvey, Jenna Janicki, Becca Jochim, Ragan Kizziah, Eliza Krans, Anderson O'Neal, Casey Raggett, and London Rhodes.
  [Read more...]McHugh Signs to Play at St. Andrews CollegeKatherine McHugh, a defender on the '91 BSC Cardinal Premier girls team coached by one of BSC Directors of Coaching, Taylor Saxe, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play college soccer at St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, NC. McHugh has been a defender on the '91 BSC Cardinal team for the past 2 years after playing up an age on the '90 BSC team for several years. She helped the '91 team reach the semifinals at the Regional Championships in Tampa, FL during the Summer of 2006.
Saxe said of McHugh, "Katherine has had the desire to go to the next level. She has continued to pursue all her options and has found a good fit with St. Andrews. Columbus Day Tournament Champs!
The BSC U10 Academy boy's team participated in the TFC Columbus Day Tournament held at Springwood Park on October 11-12th. The boys took the title in an exciting 2-1 final win, with the winning goal being scored in the final moments of the match.
The U10 Academy is directed by Chris Neal and assisted by Alex Douyon and Matt Bengston. The team members are Cameron Taylor, Zach Dixon, Christian Bailey, Tyler Besecker, Kyle Brain, Will Burton, Garrett Deangelo, Matt Garcia, Caleb Pickett and Bryce Tucker.

The 91 BSC Cardinal Girls made it two for two in pre-season tournaments by winning the Adidas Labor Day Shootout in Greensboro over Labor Day Weekend. The girls previously won the Georgia FC Senior Invitational Tournament in Atlanta two weekends ago and followed up with another impressive performance in Greensboro. The girls won all 4 games to take the tournament championship in their flight, which included an exciting penalty kick shoot-out win in the semi-finals Sunday morning. After back to back tournament championships, Coach Saxe and the 91 girls appear well prepared and confident to compete in the Premier Division this Fall.   [Read more...]U15 Girls win CSC Adidas Cup!
The BSC U15 Cardinal Girls team won the Charlotte Soccer Club Adidas Cup tournament over the weekend of August 23-24th. The girls finished with 2 wins and 1 tie in preliminary rounds and won the finals against a tough Concord Fire team from Atlanta. In four games, the girls scored 10 goals and only had 2 goals against. The team is coached by Taylor Saxe, one of the Directors of Coaching for BSC. The U15 girls will be competing in the NCYSA Classic First Division this upcoming Fall season.   [Read more...]U17 Girls Win Georgia FC Tournament
BSC U17 Girls Cardinal
The BSC U17 Girls Cardinal Premier team won the Georgia FC Sr. Invitiational Cup played in Atlanta, Georgia the weekend of August 16-17. The girls won their group play with a 3-0 record and 10 goals for and only 1 goal against. The girls moved on to the championship game and won 5-1.
The Georgia FC club that hosted the tournament is an affiliate of the Atlanta Silverbacks of the USL First Division professional soccer league.
The team is coached by Taylor Saxe, one of BSC's Directors of Coaching, and is a great start for the team that will be playing in the Premier Division this Fall.   [Read more...]BSC and Spotlight Photography Partnership
